"Certificate of Timber Origin" Software Product
The export of timber and lumber products made from such timber beyond the customs territory of Ukraine under the customs export regime by business entities — except for the cases provided for in Articles 2 and 2-1 of the Law of Ukraine “On Specifics of State Regulation of Business Activities Related to the Sale and Export of Timber” — is allowed only if a Certificate of Timber Origin (hereinafter referred to as the Certificate) is available.
- The primary goal of implementing this software product is to maintain and publish, in open data format, an electronic list of issued Certificates and to submit issued Certificates to the unified state information web portal "Single Window for International Trade."
- The objectives of the software product include the automation and systematization of the processes that ensure a transparent mechanism for issuing Certificates by the territorial bodies of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine and the executive authority in forestry matters of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, based in particular on the data provided in the Unified State Electronic Timber Accounting System.
Main Functions of the "Certificate of Timber Origin" Software Product
- Providing access to both authorized and unauthorized users in online mode using modern web technologies to the data of the electronic register of issued Certificates;
- Integration of the software product with the “EcoSystem” Unified Environmental Platform to ensure 24/7 access for potential exporters, their representatives, and responsible officials to the Certificate service for preparing and submitting applications for Certificate issuance, followed by processing of these applications by authorized persons;
- Electronic information interaction of the software product with other modules of the electronic timber accounting system to automatically obtain necessary data.
