About "FIAC" SE

History of the Enterprise

The "Forestry Innovation and Analytical Centre" State Enterprise ("FIAC" SE) is a state-owned commercial enterprise. It is based on state property and was established in accordance with the order of the State Committee of Forestry of Ukraine dated May 19, 1998, No. 52. Pursuant to the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 1085/2010 dated December 9, 2010, it falls under the jurisdiction of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine.

Core Activities

"FIAC" SE is engaged in the development, implementation, and enhancement of automated forest resource monitoring systems, created and functioning in compliance with current legislation, including the core requirements of EU Regulation No. 995/2010, to verify the origin of timber in the supply chain of wood and wood-based products.

"FIAC" SE is the principal operator for the implementation and organizational-technical support of the modern information and telecommunication system "Electronic Timber Accounting" in Ukraine’s forestry sector. This system enables the consolidation and automation of accounting for all harvested and sold timber, as well as operations related to its circulation. Today, it remains one of the few tools enabling the state to trace the origin of every cubic meter of harvested timber from felling to sale, both domestically and abroad.

Key Digital Services by "FIAC" SE:
  • Electronic Timber Accounting (ETA) - the main tool for controlling forest resources.
  • E-Logging Ticket - a digital permit for timber harvesting.
  • E-Certificate of Timber Origin – confirmation of the legal origin of timber for export operations.
  • "Fires" Automated System – a platform for monitoring and responding to forest fire threats.
